2006-07

In 2006 Associate Director Don Hicks came to Bryan Station from Southern Middle School.  The Jazz Band saw much improvement as it was finally made a class instead of meeting after school.  The Marching Band had a very successful season as they performed their show entitled "Seasons."  They returned to KMEA competition and qualified for the State Quarterfinals for the first time since 2000.

The wait was finally over when students returned from winter break in early January to a brand new $44 million state of the art high school.  The band room was outstanding with 4 soundproof practice rooms, a large secure instrument storage room, large ensemble room and separate equipment and uniform storage rooms.  The shelves from the old library were installed in the Director's Office and the music library was recataloged and shelved for easy access.

Ariel Elias repeated as 1st chair All-District baritone saxophone and the following students received Distinguished ratings at Solo & Ensemble Festival:
